Why We Walk

After Norah lost her battle to Leukemia in 2021, not a day has gone by that Andrea and David Elsmo (parents) don’t think of their daughter, Norah. This especially rings true when they go outside for neighborhood walks or hikes in favorite parks since it was some of their fondest memories with sweet Norah.

“Putting one foot in front of the other is the only way we have managed to get through” - says cofounder and mother Andrea Elsmo.

“Walking has been a therapeutic way we can still spend time with each other and feel Norah’s presence in every step we take” - says cofounder and father David Elsmo.

Our main fundraiser, Norah’s New Year Walk, was originally done with close family and friends to celebrate her heavenly 2nd birthday. We want it to continue to be a day where we can put aside everything else in our lives and share our stories, our laughter, and our tears to raise money to save lives, help families, and honor loved ones impacted by childhood cancer… In Honor of Norah.
